General Information

Lunch Times

School dinners are cooked on the premises. A cooked dinner represents excellent value for money and costs £1.80. A Salad Cart is also available each day.

If you wish your child to stay for school meals please send the correct money, in a named, sealed, envelope on Monday mornings. If you think your child is entitled to a free meal please ask for the appropriate form from the school office.

Alternatively, children can bring their own sandwich meals. Please do not send glass bottles or cans of drink. Children may bring plastic flasks or cartons of juice. Water is provided for everyone.

Should any child wish to change from one type of dinner to the other please notify us in writing or pop into the office.

If children forget, lose or spill sandwich meals we shall endeavour to contact parents. If we are unable to do so, a school meal will be provided and payment requested the next day. Supervision of children remaining at school during the lunch break is undertaken by the Headteacher, a Senior Mid-day Supervisor and four other Supervisors.

We expect good manners and sensible behaviour during lunch times. The safety and care of your child is most important to us at all times.

Tuck

Tuck is allowed in school but it is to be eaten at break times and wrappers etc. are to be placed in the waste bins.
Tuck should be put in the classroom tuck box when your child enters the school in the morning.
We would encourage you to provide your child with a healthy snack such as fruit.
Chewing Gum and Bubble Gum must not be brought into school.

Water

We actively encourage all children to drink water throughout the day to keep them hydrated and to stimulate learning.

Children are allowed to have water in class at all times. This must be in a clear, plastic bottle and must not be flavoured with squash or cordials as these can create problems if spilled.
Bottles must be washed daily.

We have a supply of suitable bottles for sale in school at the cost of £1.
